Captains Nicholas & Heather Samuel

Captain Nicholas J. Samuel grew up in a Salvationist family at the Warrington Citadel Corps (United Kingdom), and after graduating from the University of Salford with a degree in music, he moved to London and began work at the UK’s Territorial Headquarters in the Music Ministries Unit. In September 2008, Nick joined the ‘Prayer Warriors’ session at the William Booth College School for Officer Training in London, England, and was commissioned in 2010.


Captain Heather S. Samuel was born to Salvation Army Officer-parents in Cornwall, Ontario, and after graduating from Brock University with a degree in Theatre Arts, spent a few years working in retail and Salvation Army youth ministry. In 2002, Heather joined the ‘Bridgebuilders’ session at the School for Officer Training in Toronto, and was commissioned in 2004.


Heather and Nick met in 2004 when Nick was visiting Canada with the International Staff Band of The Salvation Army, and after Heather moved to the UK, they married in 2008. They have two children, Philip (6) and Jonathan (4). Following service in the UK, Heather and Nick were appointed to Cambridge Citadel Corps in August 2013.
